Omg omg omg I wasn’t expecting this revelationnnn!! Ares!! It’s just so perfect and I 100% did not see it coming!! I knew someone would save him, but this?? I’ll have to read book 1 again already now hahahaha And now he finally gave in 🔥🔥🔥 Hallelujah, Darrow! This was the slow burn of the slow burns 😂😂 The way I can’t stop reading this book is not normal!!

Eating this book up! It’s even better than Red Rising: more fast paced, higher stakes, and the interesting side characters shine bright as well. The surprises at every turn? Looove! I also appreciate that Darrow has conflict: “When does the resistance become exactly like the monster they’re fighting?” That he isn’t blindly doing anyone’s bidding. I wish he would give in to Mustang, though 💜
