Current audiobook! Broody, tattooed & mysterious motorcycle club president MMC? I’m in 😂

I’m finishing just because I read reviews saying the last 20% are worth it 😂 This is the 2nd book by this author where the FMC is supposed to be fierce but is actually insufferable, so… it will be my last is she doesn’t improve at the end!

I began this book 2 months ago, and now I remember why I paused it: FMC is petty, arrogant and jealous of very female around her. The vampire MMC should be a ruthless king, but is more like her vassal: does 100% of what she wants & licks the floor she walks for no reason, as she is a brat and hates him. The smut is boring and repetitive, and they don’t talk at all, so there’s no relationship development… 🙄

😱😱 this book just keeps getting better!

Eating this up!! Shane and Ilya are SO CUTE!! In the audio it’s a bit tricky to keep up with the timeline, but I saw that in the TV series they do “x time later” so I’ll be able to place it better. It doesn’t take anything from the experience, though! Rooting so much for them 💜

I’m sooo into this book!! Don’t want to put it down!!

This Scottish accent and vibe gets me every time! Love it. He’s a real bully and idiot at the moment calling her all sorts of names. I would have punched him in the face already 😂😂 Let’s see how she will soften him up! Their first kiss was a bit awkward, there is no chemistry yet… but I see it building after they shared the bed!

Current physical book. So far so good, I’m invested!!

Ok so… this book is dark!! Both main characters live such dark and shitty lives, both suffering unimaginable abuse AND NOT TALKING ABOUT IT!! Understandable, but still… so sad to read about so much suffering and pain when they could have had each other to help had they just communicated. Their love, a teenage love in the flashbacks, is so beautiful though… how they discover love and joy with each other.

I was very sad with O’s death, it was horrible, but what Saeris did was plain stupid, reckless and imo selfish! I get she’s grieving, but she’s putting herself in danger (and Fisher, since she knows he’ll follow), and thus leaving the whole realm in danger of dying. So, so reckless! And Fisher backing her up unconditionally was stupid too. He wouldn’t risk her and millions of people for a fox. Ever!

I love how Fisher is fiercely devoted to Saeris, but I think it’s a bit too over the top sometimes, especially when he feels beneath her, less than. I don’t like that one bit, and it’s very unrealistic for a 1700yo guy to do so for a 20 something girl he met what, 2 months ago? There is no need to make him feel less than her to show his love and devotion for her! And he is 1000% deserving, too! 🥰

So much is happening!! And what a scare with Tal! Devouring every chapter and Fisher.. what a man you are. And such a romantic, who knew!! 🔥🥰

I feel there were so many Easter eggs in this part! The Brimstone, the void blade giving the feeder more power (maybe he’s made by the same power?), her rune awakening right after… Saeris having Edina’s book is so exciting! I feel the speed is picking up towards the end, but I don’t want the story to finish!!

It kind of slowed down, but I’m still very intrigued. The thing with the birds? Loved it. Fisher’s mother letter? Beautiful. Him making things ok with Foley? Lovely. The scene with Taladaius? HOT! 🤣
