Nestaaaa, my girl! What can I say? I wasn’t a big fan of yours, but now? THANK YOU for finally calling out Elain! She should have talked to Lucien ages ago, just plainly said “I don’t want you” and so much suffering would have been spared. She knew it, but didn’t do it out of spite. The thing with Azriel was consciously mean, and she did it anyway. I really believe she will be revealed a villain soon!

Could Azriel have been more stupidddd? Ughhh And Elain more childish?? Just break things off with Lucien already, girl!! Stop being so mean.

Ahhh so happy to see Cassian and Nesta talking and apologising to each other!! And Feyre and Amren!!

Yup, Feyre is delusional in this book, and like a kid whining when people point it out. I’m glad Cresseida told her some hard truths, finally someone with the courage to do so. “Would we still march just to prove our honour?” “We would die in order to feel morally superior.” Exactly. I’m so glad to see her finally make this reflection.

Oh no, is Nesta back to her old, nasty self using Cassian as her punching bag and blaming everyone but herself again? Ugh… 🤦🏻‍♀️

Is it just me or do you also find Feyre’s behaviour towards Amren extremely arrogant? She’s what now, 20?? And Amren several thousand years old? All in that room over 500 just deferring to her? I find it hard to believe… Maybe being High Lady got to her head? I would pity her too, Amren.

Ok, after rereading all the previous books and a summary of the crossovers with CC (without which you’ll probably be lost for a bit, btw), let’s start book 6!!
And yes, it’s annoying that SJM expects us to have read CC before this one. It would have been nice to put a recap (maybe as an extra chapter or prologue) for those of us who don’t want to… super thanks to the bookbesties for their CC summaries!!

I have to confess I’m liking this book more now on my reread than I liked the 1st time, and I’m also liking Nesta more, too, even though she’s still not my favourite character by far. Now, she really effed up by telling Feyre about the threat to her life that way, as if she hadn’t learned anything from her previous mistakes 🙄 She is really so selfish it hurts!!! Still a lot to learn and apologise for…

Why oh why is Kira so stupidddddd? One stupid decision after the other 🙄 it’s a lot of trauma and few options for her, I know, but this? It’s honestly VERY stupid!!! And there goes Nath to save her from herself again…

Eating this book up! It’s dark, it makes your stomach churn, but it’s also so addictive. I know I shouldn’t, but I’m cheering so much for Kira and Nathaniel!!

Current ARC! I love that Kyra has some fight in her, and that Nathaniel can’t help but feel for her. So far so good!

My least favourite of the ACOTAR books. Nesta being her usual nasty self and blaming everything on everyone but herself 🙄 People are not teaming up against you, they’ve been pushed away BY YOU. Nobody can stand to be with you because YOU’RE ungrateful, mean and nasty to everyone. You’re not the only one suffering, with trauma. Grow the efff up!!! Poor Cassian, he spends this whole book as a punching bag…

Rooting for Bea and very intrigued about her new visions. I am almost certain she isn’t responsible for his fiancé’s ☠️…

The pace slowed somewhat from the beginning and I feel it gets a bit repetitive sometimes, especially her inner monologues, but I’m still loving the story and am completely immersed in the world.

Doing the audiobook in the car and now, at 21%, the pace is finally picking up with Shade and Fitz’s training. Hobb definitely knows how to make it immersive and my husband and I are now 100% invested!

This beginning is certainly very slow: lots of details around Fitz’s days as a child and not much happening except long descriptions of the keep and the city. I know it will be worth it though, so let’s keep at it!

Okay, now I’m liking Nesta a bit more hahahaha Love the banter between the bat boys, Mor, and now Feyre, and the meeting with the other courts is certainly a highlight!! I don’t like how guilty Feyre still feels about her sisters… whenever she talks about them, it honestly seems she’s talking about children without any agency or responsibility. In any case, still having loads of fun!!

I’m sad to say that I’m seriously struggling to get through this book… so much is happening but it feels like nothing has happened at all? Medra’s and Blake’s relationship is in the background again, Blake seems like a completely different character… and the side characters kind of blend in for me somehow, I don’t really care for most of them. I hope the ending makes it justice!

Liam 🥹🥹🥹 This book is so nostalgic, I just can’t stop listening to it. The narrators are killing it! And seeing Xaden pop in from time to time… perfection!

Seriously, could Nesta and Elain be any more ungrateful? I understand the trauma, but in the end, Feyre saved their lives. If she left them alone, they would most probably die in the war. I’m sorry, but there is no excuse for Nesta to be soooo bitter and rude to everyone, I just can’t stand it. And Elain couldn’t be more delusional, she’s basically a 5yo! I hate that Feyre still feels guilty for them 🙄

LOVE Feyre in her vengeful, shadow queen era! I kind of felt sorry for Tampon for a moment, but then I don’t anymore 😂 No backbone on this one, I’m afraid. Sorry for Lucien and so glad she brought him along, even if he’ll suffer with Elain’s disdain very soon…

Yes, this is def my favorite of the ACOTAR books! Where Feyre finds her power, where they come together as one and she becomes a force to be reckoned with. Where the ground is laid for revenge and reunification. Where we find out so much more about Rhysand’s story, trauma and reasoning. And where we see how stupid Tampon really is, traumatized or not! Loving this reread and on to the next one!

The scene with Nyxaris? A bit out of the blue for me, or maybe I needed some time to get back into the Bloodwing Academy mood first, but... It felt out of character for Florence to go all in like this, from some dreams and usual hesitation to anything new to full on 🔥. Besides, isn’t it VERY weird to have a dragon fantasise about a girl like this? 😂 Anyway, what matters is: where’s my dear Blake?

Feyre finally growing into her power, winnowing and creating Illyrian wings? LOVE! Their banter and tension, and now the ONE BED SCENE? Yup, I’m eating it up!!

Ok so, unlike the first one, it took me forever to finish this book, especially to push through the middle. It dragged and repeated A LOT until around 70%, but this ending is def packed with action and major revelations. It might have saved the series for me!
