there seems to be quite a bit of a discussion happening around spoilers and such. so here is my piece. i dont care about spoilers like whatsoever. but i do realize some people do and fair enough and although moving on ill try using spoiler tag (thanks V.ya) esp around the new danmei releases but i cant promise i wont spoil smth on accident...

cuz again this is a social platform for book lovers and i love talking about books with people - meanwhile the real problem is that GRs cant even block people properly so one can end up getting spoiled regardless. it is what it is. so this is my stance basically. please feel free to block and unfriend me if this is not up to ur standards bcs its really not pretty seeing people im friends with here being all passive aggressive around each other. thats all.

i don’t give a shit about spoilers either, and i think in general everyone’s threshold is different and some people are wayyyy more sensitive about it than others. even the definition of a spoiler is completely subjective, i got blocked by a fair share of danmei readers for stuff i don’t even see as spoilers :/ tbh i don’t even know what to say in most of my updates cuz obv i wanna talk about the plot but the spoiler gestapo is always on guard… like it’s a book site, not sure what else people expect
but apparently it doesnt work in updates!!! goddamnit.
To give in my two cents, usually i dont mind spoilers and when theres a book i dont want to get spoiled on, i will just quickly scroll away. ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉPersonally i do not update much on GR on my reading sessions, because... well you always have something to spoil, people have different threshholds, and i rather add 3000 notes in my book and gush about it to a friend in private where i can know boundaries. But usually the most out of context (soft spoilery) updates make me wanna snoop into the book. Its a two edged sword truly, and you cant appease all without being super bare to the bones.
tbh i basically just expect people to curate their own experiences, you know? i don't mind spoilers, barely consider anything in the first quarter of a book a spoiler, and therefore i don't care when my friends post spoilers. i think it's my responsibility to curate my own feed and i expect others to feel the same regarding their own. if they don't like my statuses, just block me and move on, it's so easy. also, ana's spoiler gestapo 😭😭😭😭 i'm dying omg
