this is definitely similar to heated rivalry in a lot of the plot beats but it also feels like it could have started life as a merthur fic in some ways? these are mostly compliments; it's really sweet and while i wish the friend group was slightly better developed, i adore their dynamic and how they're trying to draw caleb in.
