I finally get to read this book after I found it at a laundry room! The movie „The Ruins“ is my absolute comfort movie, where plants eat tourists in the jungle. The book started so incredibly slow. But then ufff.. there’s a scene where a guy breaks his spine after he falls into a pit and in the movie that scene was so cruel. In the book it’s worse. 8/10 so far.
