Forgot how much I absolutely do not enjoy the “deadly trials and tribulations” plot line as a first book, I find myself wanting to skim to get to the real plot
Side note I think evander is alive and maybe evil now

I predict that Evander is alive and the reason this crucible situation is so hard is perhaps all the people who “die” but their bodies come out are somehow part of the protection of whatever they’re in there for. Idk if I know enough info to know what I’m talking about here but that’s my guess.
I don’t love a prophecy it gives to much away!! Like the plot all written out
