As it finished I noticed the library tags include “macabre” and “haunting” - it is very much these, set in the YA frame. I think 3 1/2 *s, and I already borrowed volume 2

Lol - von Clausewitz! Gotta be On War she’s thinking about finding/reading.
It’s on my shelves for a similar reason - I was hearing about it from multiple directions - other books and probably podcasts. But I have not ended up getting to it yet and it’s been years! Need to read!
Now I’m wondering what podcasts she’s listening to…or the author was listening to that made her think of him

Simultaneously dry and engrossing
Haven’t decided yet
Interested in the Everwhere/Everywhere
This is making me think of Jonathan Stroud’s Lockwood & Co, but so far I think that one’s stronger even though his Bartimaeus series is my fave. Open to possibility though
