Hey ladies!! Did you know that YOU are not allowed to not read a book because of triggers and then state that you won't read the book?? Apparently you're only allowed state your opinion after you read a book..your triggers be damned!

♡Tonya♡ So, you should read stuff even if it has things you don't like? These people are weird

♡Tonya♡ I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not for people writing reviews about books they didn't read BUT- if they have info about safety that they can pass along for those of us that require it, then I appreciate it. If I was an author I would rather a person not read my work if it has things that they don't like rather than read it and give it a negative review. I appreciate all the hard work that authors put into their books but that doesn't mean that we should have to read every single thing. I'm sick of people mocking and harassing others for stuff that they choose to read or not read we are all adults and if we choose to not read a book Because of its content that is what it's all about that's why we are on Goodreads

GimmeAllTheWerdssss Had I rated the book that would have been one thing but I didn't. My note isn't going to hurt the authors average. Plus I only stated why I wasn't reading it. I even stated that most people will like it but it just wasn't for me. At no point in my review or in the comments was the author bashed. It was a discussion of why people wouldn't read it and the other people who chimmed in who liked it were responded to with respect.

I'm just blown away as to why people think they have the right to get pissed because you have a different opinion...f'in snowflakes!

♡Tonya♡ I 100% agree. They think everyone should read what THEY think is good. Not happening and I'm sick of people being like that- they need to grow up

GimmeAllTheWerdssss I just don't understand the need to cause drama. So what if someone doesn't like a book you do. It's no reason to attack them. If someone doesn't like a book that I did I just simply say "sorry it didn't work for you"....what is so hard about say?

Fre06 Begum I think there are some people out there who love playing hero for authors because it makes them feel good. There was nothing in this thread that was said bad about the author so I don't get why Donna was all worked up.

Bookloverme I don't have a shelf for books to avoid but I always check for others so I can avoid those books with triggers. There's nothing wrong to write why you won't or can't read a book. I don't understand the beed to cause drama either. This is crazy!
