Heroine = plus size model, mom is mean and body shamed her, also blame her for her fathers death.
Hero = friends with heroines brother (in the same band or is a movie star), fresh out of rehab and him and the heroine hooked up but he doesn’t remember.
I remember a specific scene where they are all at a party and OW is hanging all over the H and the heroine goes off on him.

Quick way to a DFN...

Have the Hero call the heroine some other woman’s name in an intimate moment.

Heroine meets heroine and within 5 min he propositions her to be his fake fiancé....

Heroine - “In not a whore...I want 1M to be your fake fiancé!”
*crawls into Heros lap and makes out with him*

Ummmmm....ok, so maybe you’re not a whore but you def sound like a prostitute....

A quick search revealed that “fuck” is stated 498 times...in a book that’s not even 250 pages long!! Maybe the author needs an thesaurus...

Manwhore Hero is OFFENDED - yes, I said OFFENDED - that the 22yr old heroine who has been on the run for her life for the past 3 years is a VIRGIN. No sympathy for her circumstances just OFFENDED she’s a virgin....WTF!!!

Annnnndddd....the book goes to the DNF pile...

Anger issues, bad parenting decisions, push push and pull already getting one my nerves, heroines the one chasing the Hero...

On the plus side...after their ONS they were both with other people

Authors can you PLEASE stop over sexualizing teenage boys - and BOYS is exactly what they are! It's disturbing and repulsive to read about an 17 or 18 year old boy having a different partner every week or being a sex God.

Not only is it unrealistic but it's teaching teenage girls that guys like that are popular and who they should be with.

Question...as most romances out today have a manwhore hero I want to know where the books are with heroine being one of a manwhore' s past. Are any of those women unworthy of a HEA after being with a manwhore? Why does a manwhore get his HEA and not one of the many women he's been with?

Am I the only one who will read a bad review and then WANT to read the book to see if it's really that bad?

Am I the only one who wonders if some women authors hate other women? How can a woman write a FMC who makes the cliche "doormat" look strong as steel?? Why? Why write a FMC with no self respect or confidence? Why write a FMC that doesn't have a living brain cell? Why write a FMC that just accepts the crumbs the Hero will give her?

Shouldn't women authors write strong FMCs?

Hey ladies!! Did you know that YOU are not allowed to not read a book because of triggers and then state that you won't read the book?? Apparently you're only allowed state your opinion after you read a book..your triggers be damned!

I wonder what authors have against normal, down to earth, sensible, heroines? Is it written in the authors handbook that a heroine has to be TSTL and unable to think/function around the Hero??

I'm having to walk away. I'm not liking the H or the h....h has listed at least 5 guys she's been with then followed it up with "and a few more" and she "can't stand to be alone"...the H just dismissed a girl he just had sex with in a band practice room and he's avoided hooking up with blondes because he's afraid he would call out the h's name even though he's not had sex with the h...not sure I'll continue.
