i need to spread the word about discord!!! but i really think the verdict will be that everyone uses instagram 😂 maybe we’ll both have to give in to the peer pressure. maybe we could even create a group chat with some people from here! that would be fun

I mostly use Insta, but I also LOVE the buddy-read function on StoryGraph since it keeps you from spoiling each other. You post updates with the percentage you're at, which becomes available to other readers only once they reach that same percentage. You can also comment on each other's notes. I believe you don't use StoryGraph, though?

Also, can confirm a lot of ARC action is going on Insta, in my case specifically with indie authors. So, even if not for buddy reading, it might still be worth it to check out.

I have both and have used both, although I don’t have a bookstagram. I just use my personal account to chat lol. I’ve never done a friend buddy read on discord although I do have it for arc and group reads. What’s your discord name? Or add me, I don’t have any actual friends there 😂 @vgabriela

ohh that's a great feature on StoryGraph!! i did something similar on discord, we would send spoiler tagged messages to each other with any thoughts and comments and add the percentage outside of the spoiler tag so we'd know when it was safe to look. i'm creating an insta today, but i added you on discord too!! 💞
