The book is ok. I cannot think of anything bad or good really to say about it thus far. The classification of this book on goodreads doesn't help this book- mystery? (maybe, but not really), historical fiction (I refuse to see this as historical), thriller (no).....This book feels mostly like a coming of age novel. Thus, it wasn't what I was expecting. The MC does feel a little too naive at times...

If I read "not from round our way" again I think I'll throw the book against the wall. If is like the author is screaming, "the killer is a local!"
