Kinda feel like the storyline is dragging. The focus is on this invented reason to avoid contact that’s just as much frustrating for the characters as it is for the reader. Although in my case the frustration is like can we please skip the smut and get back to the story please?

It’s weird because the Dark Lord is written like a comic book mustache twirling villain and the main girl is trying to girl boss. I think the thing that’s keeping me reading is the back and forth and the tension, but seriously he’s like a temu Xanden.
