Tommy Orange has this delightful, wandering writing style. Though I never seem to get lost. I have never seen so many commas and semi colons in a sentence and I love it.

People are born and die and they struggle and live v hard lives. They are somehow caught in these cycles of addiction and pain yet they're not even aware of them because violence has often dispossessed them of their family, land, or their histories.
