I’m genuinely so annoyed, I know there’s like 10 pages left and I know that there’s a second book but I was hoping it would be like a shiva pov or something like that not an actual continuation

It’s like they want me to love it and be like oh she loves a monster how beautiful and again I say beauty and the beast

Also I couldn’t help but compare to Hannibal and it’s just simply not as good as that you want to do falling for a monster?? Make me believe it

I want to love this book, I like the setting and I like Shahrazad’s story. But like I don’t like her falling for her besties killer like immediately when she has someone she loved before apparently and then what he’s nice to her like once and she’s all over him? Also magic?!?

I genuinely can NOT get over magic being real every time I see it I’m taken out of the book

Tariq hasn’t met Khalid but I think they should just be a throuple no fighting wars, if she’s going to be dumb and fall for Khalid just let them all be together and make it make less sense

I genuinely can’t wrap my head around there being actual magic

I know he has a reason for killing them cause he’s idk cursed or whatever beauty and the beast style but like literally why not take like old ladies who’ve lived their best life it just said lives not whose it had to be

And like her falling for him after 3 days and like barely talking to him?? I do not like that at all

This is giving me strong Masquerade by O. O. Sangoyomi and sure it’s cause this story has been told before and blah blah but like it’s Masquerade and Arabian Nights except what we have real magic??? For why? I’m not vibing with that
