Randomly throughout the book it’s like the author comes up within an idea for characteristic of one of these characters and he has to debate how that character has that ability or why it would have surface and it really takes me out of the story when these parts pop up where it’s like he’s having a conversation with himself.

I want to read this. I care about the characters and the plot is plotting but I never want to reach for it and IDK how to explain that.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a book that I’ve had to go back to the glossary to learn the language/places/terms this many times 😂 Wild. There’s not really a hook at the beginning and it’s written and very much third person that it almost comes off like a fairytale. Definitely very different, but excited to dig into it more. I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of this world!
