Tbh it’s a really insane therapist recommendation

It’s 3 parts and the first part is like 500 pages alone

I love it a lot though—Bloch is a masterful theorist, and it is a brilliant book. So many of his ideas I think about all the time, though—the darkness of the present moment, anticipatory consciousness, utopia, etc.

Personally if I was recommending a book about hope I would start with Byung-Chul Han’s book The Spirit of Hope
