You know .. I dont know if I like Sturman. I like Joe, and Val is fine until she is a sterotypical know-it-all marine biologist, (I am one so I can say that) but Sturman is miserable, and he acts it. I get grief never goes away but he is being awful and making decisions based solely on "why not, whatever" and I need him to get his shit together.

Ok some of this dialogue is not how people talk. It's like every time Val starts to give her marine biologist exposition, Will is just a sounding board of "hows that doctor?" "What does that mean?" Just to keep her taking and it isn't natural. Then he talks about his dead wife and she jumps him? Then has the audacity to say "you should really get over it" ?? Like what?? 🙃

Will acts and talks like he was in the Navy, my husband and his shipmates all talked like this lol. And I love a competent marine biologist in horror!! Let's go Humboldt Squid!!
