I think Toad might have ADHD....jumping from one fad to other, chasing a dopamine high.

I like how Ray describes Toad. He is shown to have both good and bad qualities.

I like how Rat having learn Mole has never rode in a boat, takes him on a lengthy boat ride and picnic.

After all, the best part of a holiday is perhaps not so much to be resting yourself, as to see all the other fellows busy working.
