I don’t love how she just asserts things like tofu being bad for hormones and EMFs being bad for baby brain as if they’re well established facts.

Amanda Ooof. I have this book. I haven't really used it much, but it came recommended by a lot of people.

It's kind of jarring. You'll be nodding along as she talks about how important nourishing food is for postpartum, and then in the same sentence she mentions how you need to get a water filter so you're not drinking fluoride. It just feels like her premises are good, but then the way she wants you to implement them are kind of interesting. I get that bone broth is really good for you, but not everyone can go out and buy grass fed bone broth from local farmers. Maybe the takeaway should instead be stay hydrated. I think this book could cause a lot of people to stress about the wrong things.

Amanda That's unfortunate. I was hoping it would focus on foods that are nourishing and replenishing a lot of the nutrients that get depleted in pregnancy.

Emma Yeah I’m over halfway through the book and so far there’s only been one recipe
