Chapter 4 on Ableism is remarkable.

It is becoming increasingly clear to me that a capitalistic society will always fundamentally be inhospitable to persons with disabilities.

Interesting and kind of funny but also fundamentally kind of stupid. Her experiment feels like a stunt because she doesn’t really approach it with sincerity. She isn’t living this way out of true conviction and her methods all come from various places and don’t follow any identifiable “biblical womanhood” strain.

Trying to read all our books before buying new ones.

I’m not sure I buy his explanation of 1 Corinthians. Seems like you have to make a lot of assumptions and guesses.
