been slammed down by subacute thyroiditis lately and the doc put me on steroids and finally feeling like a person again. those work insanely fast. the mechanism is actually quite interesting. steroids put down the inflammation, so the thyroid has the time to recover on its own. our immune system is a double edged swords. it protects us but can equally make us miserable like nobodies business. thanks i guess.
