Sad to be almost done, happy there’s one more book in the trilogy.

I love this book so much I wish liveships were real (I hate the ocean)

Taking a little break to get back into Malazan. Kennit and Wintrow easily have the best dynamic, with Althea being probably the most intriguing character.

Congrats, Robin Hobb—you’ve made me detest a 14-year-old girl. Not as bad as Regal, though. Not even Kyle is as bad as him.

It did not take much for me to fall back in love with this book—with the story as a whole. The way every character feels so alive and vividly portrayed is damn magical.
It’s a nice break from Malazan—which I wasn’t planning on taking. I’m loving Malazan so far but it’s certainly overwhelming, what with all the characters and lore and world-building. Liveship is more intimate, which is nice.
