This is my second Ishiguro book, after Remains of the Day. I feel like I'm reading it incredibly fast because it is so sparse. The dialogue reminds me of the subtitles on anime - of Japanese conversation, the way things are phrased and which ideas are highlighted in a sentence. It also reminds me a bit of Black Mirror. Everything is normal and then something 1% comes along which is absolutely horrifying.
