What a gem of a book! Perfect mix of tender, exciting and violent, with gorgeous (and original!) prose, complex characters, and a strong sense of adventure and hope. Highly recommend to anyone who’s into the found family trope. It’s a short book, but the writing is so rich and the scope so epic that it took me a whole week to finish, and I know it’ll stay with me for a while. Easily one of my top 3 reads of the year.
