Had an emergency apendectomy a couple days ago. I strongly suggest that you try to avoid having your apendix becoming enflamed and ready to burst. I've had kidney stones before, and those were a walk in the park compared to an apendix leaking fluid in my abdomen.

Thanks, guys. I'm doing very well today, or as well as I can be doing under the circumstances. I'm even getting a little work done from home.And, Whit, what's with the "like" vote on my status? You want me to go through this sort of thing again???

My pain usually leads to better book reviews. I'll try to channel my latest pain into something productive. Maybe I'll write a new review of Name of the Wind and say I'd rather have my appendix burst than read that book again.
