also they're talking about Cezanne, a painter who saw many details but didn't have to paint every single one, as there's a current big to do (controversy) about Sezanne (which aren't related just sound the same) bc they used to be known for details and high quality but now are more expensive and shittier quality/fewer details.

she's talking about wanting to paint every single color in a table cloth and being unable to stop telling the truth (aka painting every single color) and therefore unable to finish a painting.

this, as I have the same struggles literally.

I feel like I want to assign this novel to every 20 year old I took screenwriting classes with

girllll this is good but also wow. Partly I'm like "as a neurodivergent person who has experienced mania I get this" and partly I'm like "ok girlie (Princess) are we sure you have bipolar because some of this is sounding like psychosis and we need a trusted adult."
