Natasha and her family leave. Daniel has to move on. He doesn’t go to Yale. He moves out and attends another college studying English. He doesn’t speak to Charlie again. Natasha finds her place in Jamaica. Goes to college and studies Physics. Her mom died 6 years after they moved back. Her dad does community theater. On a flight Daniel and Natasha run into each other again!

Attorney Fitzgerald could have saved Natasha from being deported but he missed his appointment with the judge because he was in a hotel room cheating on his wife with his secretary Hannah! He plans on leaving his wife to marry her! Daniel tells Natasha the news and she is devastated. Natasha takes Daniel back to her apartment so they can be together while she and her family pack up to leave.

What are the coincidences that the person interviewing Daniel is Natasha’s lawyer! Attorney Jeremy Fitzgerald. Daniel sees Natasha’s file on his desk. Daniel thanks him for saving her. Jeremy says that he couldn’t save her family and they will be deported! Daniel is so mad! Jeremy isn’t the greatest guy! He cheated on his wife with his assistant today and now he has to find a new one.

Attorney Fitzgerald says Natasha is not out of options. He needs a couple of hours but he may get an appeal to buy them more time. Daniel’s dad is mad at his sons for fighting. He tells Daniel he cannot date Natasha. Natasha wants to find Daniel and tell him about the update. She may believe in love after all. Daniel wants to find Natasha too. He wants to be with her even if it’s only for one day!

Natasha: goes back to the lawyer’s office. She brings by telling him about how her father ruined everything for them. He had gotten a role in a play (finally). Her mom didn’t go but Natasha and her brother did and her father was amazing. Belonged on the stage more than he belonged with them. Daniel: goes back to his family’s store and punches his brother in the face. Then his brother beats him up.

Daniel is so upset over the news of Natasha getting deported. She says he is just like her dad! Dreamers are selfish she tells him. He calls her out for relying on science as a way of not become like her dad. About 4 years ago things started changing with Natasha’s dad. He lost his job or quit. Started memorizing plays. Her mom had to work more. When he finally got a part she wasn’t happy for him.

After lunch Daniel takes Natasha to a Korean karaoke place. He is a good singer. She is not! She sings a depressing song that she feels so deeply with that Daniel is moved. He kisses her after. They kiss for a long time until Daniel mentions they are made for each other. Natasha freaks out and pulls away. He asks what she is afraid of so she tells Daniel about getting deported.

Natasha feels bad for Daniel having such horrible family. Daniel takes Natasha to a Korean restaurant for lunch. They answer another question on how they feel about their parents. All Natasha says is a thumbs up for mom and down for dad. The waitress is rude when Natasha asks for a fork. The waitress doesn’t like American girls. She doesn’t talk to her son who married one.

Daniel asks for a do-over and does the right thing and takes Natasha in the store with him. His brother is there and is such a jerk. Natasha calls him out on it too. Charlie thought Natasha was shoplifting until he sees Daniel holding her hand! Charlie won’t be the problem child anymore after this. Natasha wants to leave but Daniel’s dad sees them holding hands too!

Daniel reschedules his Yale interview for later in the day to be with Natasha more. Daniel needs to drop money off to his dad at their store. Natasha has time while waiting for the lawyer so she agrees to go with Daniel. He isn’t ready for her to meet his dad but wants to spend time with her. Daniel asks her to wait outside. Daniel doesn’t want to deal with his Dad’s racism that Natasha is black and not Korean
