This turned into hate read.

I am so close to DNFing this book. I’m 35% in, 257 pages in and nothing of significance has happened. The important parts probably amount to 70 pages total. Every chapter, our Gary Stu has to prove himself, and he always does. It’s boring and ridiculous. I genuinely don’t care about reading an unnecessary chariot race.

I really enjoyed the beginning of this book. But because of Luceum’s POV, I’m tempted to DNF it. It’s so boring. Nothing happens, and it’s difficult to read because of their language barrier. I don’t think the author executed that part very well. I came to a Luceum chapter that’s 39 pages long, and I haven’t touched the book for three days. I’m currently struggling to push through because I just don’t care.

I don't care about Luceum, I really don't... It's so off. Like it doesn't belong in this book. I love Res and Obiteum tho... looking forward to each one.

Oh? Surprised by the direction the author went in with the sequel, but still very much intrigued.
