This moved me a lot. based on the authors own eye witness account of the 4.3 massacre in jeju, in which the south korean army killed 50k people including women and children out of an anti-communist frenzy. this was even before the korean war. him publishing this story brought him to the jails of the military dictatorship, where he was tortured for it.
