for obvious reasons i like Jonas, but for more conventional reasons i like Peter. what i like about Jonas that Peter doesn’t have is that authenticity that is rarely seen in people - like Elle could tell him an entire world of secrets and he’d make her feel accepted.

this novel is a lot - a lot - darker than i anticipated it to be.

there’s quite a lot of innuendo in this novel. i don’t mind realism, but it is slightly feeling a bit obtrusive.

this novel is so far very unflinching. the writing is very descriptive - almost lyrical - but disturbingly transparent.
