A kind of popular book at the moment. The beginning third of the book is trying to prove the book's own periodisation as a way to justify its keyword. I found this section's highlights in the introduction's refutation of two forms of essentialism: "fascism redux" and "second gilded age", its occasional lucidity in diagnosing links between new media & financialisation temporalities and the time of political action.
