Still stupid. Executing students for minor infractions such as bad manners, but allowing students to threaten one another with unsanctioned murder. All because the FMC's dad helped pass a bill to make one drug illegal. Yeah the drug is as ubiquitous as caffeine, but I don't think that justifies lynch mob mentality. Giving it until 50% to pick up, then DNFing if it continues like this.

So far, I'm very disappointed and not sharing the hype this book has generated on social media. The premise is stupid. Plot points don't make sense. They get credits deducted if they don't use formal speech, but it's perfectly fine to join a mob and threaten people with death? FMC struggles through mob to board train, then immediately wants off when the onboard robots refuse to serve her, despite mob? WTH?
