It’s interesting. I love the historical detail don’t love the lack of cohesion between the characters. The “commercial breaks” for lack of.better description are annoying yet they’re necessary.

My fingers are crossed too! It’s engaging and interesting. It’s NOT exactly a police procedural like her old books which is where some of the chapters are clunky.
That being said, I’m intrigued by all the characters. I wish they were developed more at this point, but we are getting there. I love historical fiction which is weaved I to the story.
The prologue sucked me in and that was LG of old 🥰 so I refuse to give up hope!
