The prose has improved a little. I don’t see the need the geography of the town to be explained in so much detail that I could navigate through it.

I’m a little put off by the complacent southern English middle class world view. It’s authentic enough but that doesn’t make it interesting.

I’m struggling with this. I like the set up and the idea of the main character. BUT the writing is dragging the story down. Too many details that serve no purpose, I don’t need to be told our heroine fastened her seatbelt when she got into the car.

I’ll give this another chapter to pick up or I’m done.
