This book is a bit slow. The world building is a bit confusing at the beginning because there are a lot of names, historical events, and the system of magic. I’d space out sometimes and would need to reread HAHAH idk if my attention span is bad now or if the pacing is dragging.

This is interesting enough tho because I’m learning about Chinese folklore
