My fave VA LET'S GOOOOO

Quick read, cute story, nothing crazy but all the elements were there

B adds the flower to the potion but only eats a drop before Lionel starts throwing stones breaking the vial

They run from Modor and Faedor and make it to the cottage, Toby hides in the loft and B gets F and M to fight each other off

Cyrus was led into the forest when he was younger and he knocked down Madalena at the time and the monsters went for her instead, so he came back to the Scura to right his sin

Toby admits he sniped it and gave it to Cyrus

The prophecy tells that Cyrus will go to fix his past sin and Bonebag will go back too

They find the other rags outside the Scura forest unable to have followed Cyrus inside so Toby orders them back to base

Madalena is pissed B came back andddd brought her sister so she runs off and Margot pursues her but gets separated from the trio

The two head back to the Verm and only Toby is there, they find red paint in Cyrus’ room and realize he vandalized the mural and the fact he always wears a glove on his right hand means he must have scales there and is the boy who visited Eleanor before

they realize Cyrus is taking all the rags to fight the Scal Occul but without something from the forest they could never enter the forest, B needs to find his locket

Eleanor offers the last of the potion for B to take to stop his spread of scales on his leg, but lets him know the Scal Occul can only destroyed by one of their own…

The previous boy took the potion but B might not

The get to Eleanor Marr’s house and she is now a creature covered in moon scales, says a boy came looking for a cure before B and Eleanor found a potion recipe but couldn’t gather the final ingredient nectar from the forgotten flower, she drank it anyway and it stopped the advancement of the scales but did not reverse it

The flower grows near the log that Bonebag would hide the moon things

Margot can’t check out the book as it’s the only copy left so she copied the notes, they plan to go the author’s house on an island but without Toby, he has to pretend B was taken by yellowjak’s so Cyrus doesn’t blame Toby for it and Margot goes in exchange for the promise that B takes her to her sister

B reads the notes and it says that the shape-shifters have three stages and if their talons pierce you, you turn

Skritch had a book w illustrations on the Scal Occul and a boy had a moonthing so they traded, now B wants the book and the girl Margo is very rich so she can get into the library where the other copy is

The library has stone statues of beasts that B has dreamt of, Margo goes in to check out the book being the only non-rag in the group

They go to the Gullet (bazaar-like area) to meet Skritch and otw there the girl returns and angrily demands where is her sister?!? But B’s locket is gone and when he shows his scales Skritch has a moonthing on a necklace and the girl has one in her bag

Bonebag knows deep down that Cyrus won’t help him find his parents so he decides to go see that girl again but Toby is afraid he’ll be blamed for B leaving so he says as a last resort he’ll take him to a guy that can help

That night his scratches from Modor turn into moonthing scales
