This is a book I want to love but it does all the things that make most modern category romances a slog to get through. Reads like fanfiction, in terms of characters spending far too much time on the page thinking about their own feelings and motivations. I have been skipping whole paragraphs of text because in some places this is so meandering I lose track of dialogue and plot.
