So far not impressed.
The argument of this book is something I think I already agreed with, but I’m not wholly convinced by the data/arguments it provides. I also don’t think this idea that phones are bad for kids (and likely also adults) is new and revolutionary, nor that it’s the main/sole reason Gen Z is anxious.
Continuing to read and give it a chance, but I’m bored and might drop it soon.

In a paragraph about raised reports of Gen Z faking mental illness that they find and mimic off tiktok, the author inserts a few lines about gender dysphoria in Gen Z and somewhat implies it fits into this category.
I think this author conveniently ignores other possible reasons for these outcomes. Couldn’t gender dysphoria be reported more often due to more accepting views today? Cherrypicking data
