Lost me.
In a paragraph about raised reports of Gen Z faking mental illness that they find and mimic off tiktok, the author inserts a few lines about gender dysphoria in Gen Z and somewhat implies it fits into this category.
I think this author conveniently ignores other possible reasons for these outcomes. Couldn’t gender dysphoria be reported more often due to more accepting views today? Cherrypicking data

So far not impressed.
The argument of this book is something I think I already agreed with, but I’m not wholly convinced by the data/arguments it provides. I also don’t think this idea that phones are bad for kids (and likely also adults) is new and revolutionary, nor that it’s the main/sole reason Gen Z is anxious.
Continuing to read and give it a chance, but I’m bored and might drop it soon.
