Yeah, why not? I'm a cynic, an atheist- I refuse to believe in fantasy stuff, because I live in such a mundane world - if there is a magical world out there, would these creatures be so difficult to explain then?

No explanation on the mechanics of flipping yet... but I can guess that in a 12yo kid's world, it is as easy as "daydreaming"

Almost halfway through the book, my mind was filled with whats, whys, hows.... but I'm trying to be patience, let the book guide me and my curiosity. Even if the payoff isn't satisfying, is the journey still worth it?

I feel like after reading books for a time, I started to develop a sense of patience. If this book was what I read when I just started getting into reading - I might have abandoned it very early.
