Starclan has spoken, after arguing at Fourtrees a cloud was sent to cover the moon thus ending the meeting. Greystripe and Silverstream’s affair has all but been found out. Meanwhile in Thunderclan Fireheart has lost his best friend but gained a new friend in Sandpaw. Cinderpaw is better but will never be a warrior. Tigerclaw has made a vague threat to CloudKit, Fireheart’s nephew.

Greystripe and Fireheart grow evermore hostile towards each other due to Cinderpaw’s injury and greystripe’s absence and Fireheart’s disapproval of Greystripe’s relationship. In an effort to exact revenge Bluestar has ordered a raid on Riverclan land, Fireheart feels a pang of guilt knowing they’re suffering this leaf-bare but he’ll do what his leader orders.

In a trap I believe to be designed for Bluestar, young Cinderpelt was badly injured by a Thunder Path monster. Bluestar developed greencough and has lost her 8th life. She is much more vulnerable now as if she dies, she won’t return. In Fireheart’s moment of need his supposed best friend Greystripe was not there, he holds heavy resentment.

With Leafbare settling in both Greystripe and Fireheart find themselves with divided loyalties. Greystripe and his loyalty and love for Silverstream and Fireheart and his yearn for family. In each of them there is still room for their loyalty to the clan. Bluestar has whitecough, a serious disease but not as serious as greencough.

With his own secrets Fireheart has seemed to grow anxious and paranoid with every small move and word Bluestar and Tigerclaw make. Though while Greystripe has this “cold” he has been sneaking out, and now Fireheart knows why, to meet up with the mysterious Riverclan She-cat Silverstream and by the looks of it, they’re more than friendly.

After speaking with Fireheart and truly assessing his life so far as a warrior I believe he has some deep seeded longing to be amongst family again. Though the rest of the clan speaks of Kittypets with disdain Fireheart spoke only gentle words of his fond memories. This makes him resent the hateful attitude many in his clan exhibit.

In an effort to teach Cinderpaw and Brackenpaw before leaf-bare brought scarce fresh kill, Fireheart and Greystripe decided to show them how to hunt near the river. However Cinderpaw, once again not following orders, nearly cause Greystripe to drown. If not for a pretty riverclan she-cat named Silverstream, he would’ve died.

After their first successful training venture with their new apprentices Fireheart and Graystripe spend some well earned time hunting until Fireheart catches a familiar scent, his sister. Graystripe has seemed to be much more distant since the death of the Riverclan cat.

Fireheart and Graystripe had earned an escort home from Windclan when they were attacked at the Gorge trying to take a shortcut. In the unnecessary battle there was a death of a Riverclan cat which seems to have furthered the alliance between Riverclan and Shadowclan. With this news Bluestar wants more apprentices to protect the clan, thus giving Firestar and Greystripe apprentices, Cinderpaw and Brackenpaw.

Finally convincing Tallstar they’re no threat, Fireheart and Graystripe lead them as far as Barley’s farm. They meet with an old friend Ravenpaw who seems to be doing well. Ravenpaw offers food and shelter to them and the Windclan cats being desperate surely accept it. During the morning with full bellies and dry fur Barkface has a vision from Starclan of blood stained clouds. There will be an unnecessary death.
