The precise thing I was worried about happening has happened. Why does so much romantasy glamorize abusive behaviour as sexy 😭 he’s on the “good side”? Okay he still treated her like shit ????!! Romantasy seems to follow the same romance storyline almost every time 😕😕 Also if the word “manhood” is used one more time……

I would suggest not reading this in audiobook format because the multiple narrators thing is NOT working smoothly. Other than the excessive use of adjectives (like GIRL…chill out…), I’m enjoying this so far. I am worried that the romance plots are going to be the “super shitty guy ends up secretly being “nice” and girl forgets how shitty and violent he was” sort of trope. We shall see…

The FMCs are also the same character every time. Am I losing it ????? They are reduced to such a narrow version of femininity where even their assertiveness and toughness is written in such a way that it is attractive to the men so that makes it palatable. I’m sooooooo bored!!!! There are other storylines than misogyny. There are!!! We can do better!!!! Please !!!!

The storyline does have me captivated though…I will power through the “romance” (glamorized misogyny) in order to follow the plot 🤓
