Okay. Haven't been able to find time to read & I've only been able to steal away from my work & read a couple of pages during breaks. But! I will confess: Williams has hooked me with this one after my Otherland DNF. I would call this High Dark Fantasy with reworked Fantasy troupes--and that's okay! I'm in! And he is a very good writer and world builder. It's the weekend & I'm gonna deep dive it!

This is my second attempt at reading Williams, having abandoned his first Otherland novel by page 300. I can handle 1K page novels, it just wasn't for me. So far, I'm really enjoying this. A combination of dark and high fantasy done with very well crafted prose. First impression: I'm impressed and will commit if I continue to be.
