I am very slowly but surely making progress. I love so much of this; there are so many truly beautiful passages and, my favorite, a lot of Grade A violence. But then we get bogged down in endless lists of names of people we've never met before nor will we ever hear from them again.

I find myself not reaching for this book more often than not. I'm going to stick with it, but I am definitely taking my time with this.

I am still very slowly making my way through this.

***SPOILER ALERT: I guess? The book is 3,000 years old, guys.***

The death of Patroclus at the hands of Hector is my favorite scene so far. Incredibly tense, the action was top notch and the violence was at its most extreme. You watch the end of Patroclus in real time and feel it in your chest when he hits the ground.

I am slowly but surely making my way through! I'm really enjoying it! (Well, maybe not all of it)
