Can’t believe I’m listening to this again
Feeling so…fussy right now though - nothing else I tried was right. Too slow, too immature.
Brain ramping up for packing/moving maybe
Always love this book tho
Even with the family abuse at the beginning, Menolly’s instinct + need for music + her connection w/the fire lizards + dragons as well as her ability to forage + care for herself just pulls me in every time

Listening now I’m ranting abt:
1. The women who are running every place we hear about, but not doing whatever *thing* that place is known for
2. Grand ending, but what they really shld have done at the least is Menora sit down with Menolly for a chat to ask abt her music + explain she could go learn more if she wanted. But, yes, McCaffrey is queen w/this wonderfully cathartic grand ending instead
