Things are at least happening now, although not what I expected, and I feel like the guys figured out what is going on waaaaay too quickly, considering they have spent the majority of this book unaware of anything going on that wasn't who they were fucking

I picked this book up because it was supposed to be a spooky ancient monster stalking the crew of a cargo ship, but so far the only things that have happened is lots of cargo ship repairs, a bunch of men getting with a bunch of women, and the author casually rearranging all the Devon geography. The only reason I'm still reading it is that something has to happen at some point, right?

I'm a quarter of the way through this book and so far nothing significant has happened - but I now know more about cargo ship maintenance than I ever wanted to. Also, the author has fucked up his UK geography and it is really annoying me every time he mentions a place name and I know its wrong.
