Oh! Um…okay. It seems Ava Reid is determined to fit as many weird things as possible in this book.

My jaw just dropped. Idk why I thought something good would be allowed to flourish in such a dark, gothic, and frankly depraved book. I’m in a SHAMBLES

You know, I don’t know why I assumed the claims of the cannibalism of infants in this book were exaggerations…

I need a book about the House of Blood asap! They’re bold as hell

“The girl did not even have shame enough to hide her pleasure. A small, quivering smile kept returning to her face, and her eyes were gleaming like two marbles polished with the spit of the devil himself.” DAMN lol

I can imagine Ava Reid writing some of the lines in this book then stopping and saying, “Oh, yeah this is some good shit right here!” And she’d be right lol the writing is indulgent as hell, but I like it!

Yeah…so…um…spooning with your half naked cousin and sucking her thumb is more than a tad bit weird. What in the codependency is going on?! And these are grown adults, mind you. I’m…perturbed…
