This sat on my shelf for ages. I love Whitehead but I wasn't the least bit interested in the premise. Still no reason not to support one of the best modern authors, right? Well, I was wrong. This is amazing so far. Lila Mae Watson reminds me of Holly Gibney, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find out Stephen King used Lila Mae as inspiration for my favorite fictional autistic.
