The more I read this, the more my disdain for Andy Weir grows.
How can a man write THIS book, and then say his books contain no politics???
Almost every page contains some sort of political commentary. The entire plot is political to its core! This book is simply steeped in politics! How can an author be so utterly clueless to his own writing? How can he be so far removed from his own work? It's baffling!

i feel like he says that just so ppl don’t criticize the politics in his works loll. but yea, clearly bullshit

Yeah, that interview also left me baffled…
Yeah... Since that interview, my respect for Weir has plummeted. He seems really privileged and out of touch, and that makes me reevaluate his writing.
